Ryan,as soon as I can figure out how to cut trees out of a boat I will get a brand new one.  ;D

Ever watch swamp loggers???  I know of a big ole tree on the bottom of KB that has lots of jewelry on it that would be a good starter tree. Bad Habit knows of one too that he lost "killer" on.  ;D

My vote is for a pilot house. With optional heater. Of course it would require $250,000 more then I have. But if your going to dream, may as well dream big.

That's a pretty good find, Arn!  I know a guy (KING ME) that has that exact boat and really likes it!

Be nice to see a picture of the "Golden Trailer" though!!  ;D

If it didnt have a 2 stroke on it id be all over it!  Price of gas the last thing id need to do is buy expensive oil for it!

If the engine is also the same year, or close, the oil wouldn't be a big factor. Those era Mercs will use anything rated TCw-3 just fine, can find Pennzoil or even Wal-Mart brand very inexpensive. They are thirsty though, but not crazy-bad at cruising speeds. From about 4600 on up, they will really use the juice. The other side is that they are pretty bullet-proof. That one hasn't been used much, would need to be checked out good,PSI tests, de-carboned, new water pump, and it could go for years

Id rather just have a motor that doesnt need two cycle oil....already enough expenses to having a boat.  Even the cheap wal mart oil still costs an arm and leg these days!  Would be good for those days when the bugs are terrible though!

Unless your going to the rock everyday who cares if they use a little more gas???  I didnt keep track of how much oil I used last year but probably around 5-6 gallons. Maybe more. Its not like oil changes on 4 strokes are free.

Would I prefer a 4?? Yes,but I wouldnt steer clear of a boat if it had a good 2 on it either. There are THOUSANDS of them out there running fine for a reason.

Well I am Looking at going to check out a 25 foot tiara pursuit walk around , with windshield and t top with a 250 hp merc outboard. Nice looking boat . I won't have the $ to buy it for a few more months so I am gonna try to go get a loan on monday. Will just pay the loan off in a few months so they don't make a mint off me. Fingers are crossed !
