This is a Lowrance 111C HD Multi Function Display.  This is the display only, no transducer, but I may include the GPS antenna to the right person.  It has the nice and big 11" screen. I bought it new,($2400) and the unit is now just over 3 years old.  Its in perfect shape with NO scratches on the case or the screen, and is absolutly mint. This unit will accept/can be used as a, GPS-Chartplotter, Fishfinder, Radar, or all of the above.  If you have an existing Lowrance set-up, this unit is compatable with all Lowrance hook-ups with the Blue ends on your transducer/GPS antenna.  It has "Blue Chart" and "Hot Spots" maps and charts pre loaded onto the hard drive.  Also comes with wiring harness, dash mount, and screen protector.

Lake Superior / 2012 SSFA Meeting/Tourney Dates
« on: February 21, 2012, 10:49:26 AM »
Most of the members of the past SSFA board had thier term expire this year.  Last night the new board was selected, and they are getting ready to move forward this year with the SSFA.  Kudos to those guys who stepped up to keep everything going.  Last fall was SSFA's best ever for the tourneys, with more money being raised than ever before, and more prize money being paid out than ever before.  Hopefully some new fresh ideas will keep things going in the right direction!

Thanks Guys!

Off Topic / BIG "Dog" in Chocolay!
« on: February 18, 2012, 01:07:39 PM »
I only got one pic of him before he took off, and its a little grainy, but this boy was BIG!  His tracks were outside my hand.  My 3 dogs were in the back yard going nuts so I ran out to the deck expecting to see another Coyote screwing around...Nope!  This SOB just slowly crept through the trees, about 40 yards from my dog pen, and kept moving.  I am between Mangum Farm and Big Creek so I see a TON of Coyotes and plenty of deer, but never Wolves.  I followed his tracks for a bit after he left and the area back there is always FULL of Rabbit tracks, so he may of been looking for some Bunny's...

Lake Superior / Presque Isle Marina
« on: February 01, 2012, 09:15:24 AM »
We need your help!

I am sending this email to inform you that we have recently found out that the Presque Isle Marina could be in serious trouble.  It may be closing and could happen as early as this spring.  We have formed a group called P.I.C.C. (Presque Isle Concerned Citizens) to try to prevent the closure of the Presque Isle Marina and to encourage the City Commission to go forward with the renovation plans as previously planned.
The future of the Presque Isle Launch Ramp is also a concern. It is our understanding that this topic will be brought in front of the City Commission sometime in the very near future. It will require the approval of the City Commission in order to proceed with the much needed dredging and reconstruction.
Our group is meeting every other week to come up with a plan to present to the City Commission on March 12th. We currently have over 35 members involved at different levels, some just want the information we share via email, others are taking an active part in the process.
If you are interested in hearing more or in becoming involved please respond via email or contact Brenda Kurian or Brad Muscoe by phone.  We are on a mission to recruit help, please consider joining the cause to save the Presque Isle Marina!
Thank you, Brenda Kurian

Note:  Please feel free to share or forward this email with as many people as you wish!  We need to spread the word!

Just had to share this pic/story.  Let us never forget WHO gives us the ability to live in a free country...

The night before the burial of her husband 2nd Lt. James Cathey of the United States Marine Corps, killed in Iraq, Katherine Cathey refused to leave the casket, asking to sleep next to his body for the last time. The Marines made a bed for her, tucking in the sheets below the flag. Before she fell asleep, she opened her laptop computer and played songs that reminded her of "Cat", and one of the Marines asked if she wanted them to continue standing watch as she slept.

"I think it would be kind of nice if you kept doing it" she said.
"I think that's what he would have wanted".
-Not sure what is more honorable: Being married to this faithful wife to the end or the Marine standing next to the casket watching over them both.  God Bless our Marines...and God Bless America!

Classifieds/Buy/Sell / PIAA Driving/Fog Lights FOR SALE
« on: December 29, 2011, 10:03:44 PM »

These are 5 years old.  I had them on my old truck for 2 years, and they have been sitting in the closet for the last 3 years.  I just dont have a spot for them on my truck now, so I suppose its time to get rid of them.  I paid $550 for the set brand new.  They are an all metal, 100% waterproof housing and they are VERY heavy duty. These aint from Wal-Mart  wink()  There are 2 lights in each unit.  A Clear 80 watt Driving Beam, and a Yellowish 55 watt Fog Beam(just the lens is Blue...the light shines Yellow)  I have the original wiring harness...but its a mess.  The Ford Stealership removed the lights and the harness and they didn't exactly take their time with the wiring.  A new harness can be purchased from PIAA or you can just make your own.  There are 2 power leads and 1 ground from each unit.    9" Wide  4.5" Deep  4" Tall
