Title: Straits Nets
Post by: michimac on July 05, 2017, 03:05:34 PM
Be aware the east side of Mackinac Island has been heavy with nets this year. Counted 5 between Silver Birches and Mission Point at one point this Spring. They keep getting re-positioned, so who knows where and how many there will be on given day. St. Ignace side has nets south of the harbor and another just off the dolphins.

Have only been out once and only running 3 rods. Not a single nibble. I have been hearing of a few caught over near Swingin' Iggy, though.

Any luck this summer Mike? All that I have done is fish for pike and pick berries.
