Is there a limit to the amount of fisherman allowed on each boat?  Thanks.

Lake Michigan / Re: Fairport

I also think the storms dispersed the fish.  Went there Friday night and was 0/1 on a 6 color leadcore, and Saturday morning 1/2 with a small king on 120 copper.  Surface temps were mid 50s to lower 60s.  Another boat caught 5 Friday night otherwise most boats caught less.  I heard someone on the radio Saturday morning with 4 fish.  I suspect as the lake settles out it will improve some.

Trout/Salmon / Re: Fish Taxidermist Suggestions

I had a king salmon mounted by Lloyd's taxidermy in Republic and he did a good job.  I just spoke to someone who had a brookie mounted by him and was very happy.  Price was good and turnaround fairly quick.

I am not sure if the ghost net was called in.  I didn't call in the one I saw.  I'm not sure of the laws pertaining to marking nets.  I suspect a net should be marked on both sides though,  right?

I saw a single net stake south side of summer that was marked with a buoy in 145' at the south side of summer with no second buoy in sight.  That evening my friend caught a ghost net mid summer in 80', but luckily didn't lose anything.

I made it out this morning for the first time this summer with my dad and a good friend.  I set up at 0430, pulled lines at 1030.  I set up in the gap in 50 fow and moved out from there.  Marked very little the entire time.  Surface temp was 45 degrees.  Got my first hit at about 0600.  Was a solid rip on a yellow tail on a 180 copper on a planer board, in 130 fow.  It pulled drag for maybe a minute before getting off.   Surface temp was 55 degrees there.  Then caught a shaker on a glow broken nose at 70 feet on a rigger.  About 0830 had a short fight with a smaller fish on a SWR with Silver Streak Kevorkian.  Had a few releases at no specific depth, speed, location, or lure.  I tried flasher/flies, dodger flies and dodger squids, meat rigs, spoons (silver streak, moonshine, finn spoons), fast/slow, deep/shallow, copper, lead, dipsies, from 15 feet down to bottom, in 50-160 fow.  Needless to say it was slow.  I'm no pro but I think it is still early and I hope this helps some other fishermen, and thanks for all the posts over the years that have helped me.   I spoke to two other boats who caught 1 and 2 fish.  I believe there are some good fish down there now, but they are challenging to find.

If you can post your number or email address I know someone who wants the 410, and the 270 if the sale falls through.

I've been shooting one for the last year and a half and I love it.  No noise, tight groups,
and more confidence.   I bought mine from Straight Line Archery and they do a great job and I recommend others do the same.  The extra money you pay there is more than worth the work they do for you.
