Im sure the ride out is free!

from what john says the ride out is free hell even the fishing is free and the first 25 miles back is free its the last 25 miles that get pricey lol

i had the oppertunity to meet Dan march 9 in holland at his great lakes angler salmon school and he's a great guy. was able to talk to him one on one and learned alot from him that way in a matter of a few minutes. he also has taken the time to put together a (program) of his seminars so you always have that info. he's a down to earth guy and takes his time to answer all questions untill he feels you are grasping what he is saying. (we had a big bunch of 1st year salmon fishermen/women in holland and dan took his time to make sure the understood what he was saying)  so if you can make it pony up the 60 bucks cause if i know john he has worked the phones and taking time to go inperson to places and the raffle prizes are gonna be well worth 60 bucks. and dan's knowalge is worth more than that hands down.

It sounds like you have a pretty clear idea of who the people are that stole all of your cameras and gear. Are you still staying on this case?

Yes I am. But like the C.O. has stated what are the chances of these guys coming back to kalamazoo county to goto court slim to none. What i am trying to still figure out is how 2 of these guys are convicted felons caught with concealed handguns on thier person and carring rifles out of seaon and also in a shotgun only area. yet they were free to climb in thier truck and leave.

guess they offered to donate to the oblamo campain.

Im no moderator....you dont really fit the type i was talking about.   Didnt mean to hurt your feelings.....guess i could of been more detailed!  And for the record ....if it was up to me id blow up the bridge and let the u.p be its own state!  All the funds get spent downstate for fish stalking etc. So i kinda feel like we are on our own up here anyways...only all our money goes to a different state!

i think there is more of a prob from the assholes from wi than the l.p. and i wasnt trying to be a dick to you i have family in marquette who have the same bitches as you but then i could say the same about the people from the u.p that come down here to hunt and kill everything that they see and as a matter of fact i had 3 people who are from swayer that own property next to mine and they stole over 100 trail cams 5 tree stands and poached well over 50 yearlings and other deer off my property in southwest lower mich. so arn it does go both ways all of us true sportsmen in michigan get f***ed our license money goes to earmarks other than our fisheries and wildlife and it pisses me off more than you would know.

but on the poll i know after talking to the state police local cops and our c.o. in district 7 the guys from sweayer had licenses from dead family members and wivies and kids

Gotta say it.....it bothers me much more all the trolls that come up here shoot our deer and head back below the bridge!
I dont care if they stop at a mom and pops store on there way through ....couple bucks into our economy just dont make up for it to me.
Im not talking about a person or two....im talking about the big groups that come up here and shoot everything they can and head back downstate with a truckload of deer.   I see it year after year....sickens me that they dont have to pay some kind of non resident fee!
Then they go back home with there truckload of deer and have a awesome winter of ice fishing all the lakes that get stocked with our dnr license money....not like any of it is being used up here!  I could go on all day about our f@!# ed up world we gotta live in!

well last time i checked i still live in michigan and the upper is part of michigan so why should i have to buy a non resident license and on the few bucks spent how about this 3 trips to marquette this year to fish, and a week long vacation with the wife another trip out on Superior. .. and by the way how about the 250,000 grand i am fixing to buy property up by big bay for jhunting fishing and vacations

Yeah, why not? Why's it so weird to question that article? Because that's exactly what someone would do if they went into a hatchery after hours with malicious intent? or doesnt jive with your unwavering confidence in the dnr? just seemed pretty weird to me. Who's leading the investigation.

well so you know i am in the hiring process for a c.o. postion with the dnr and after seeing some of the stuff that the worthless people in the lower penisula do it would not suprise me at all i have witnessed many crimes comitted agianst our fishiers and wildlife that make you scratch your head hense the reason i applied to the dnr

Given I haven't visited any of the hatcheries before, but does it seem weird that "...it looks like vandals forcibly crowded the fish into a small area of the pond, which clogged screens and cut off oxygen to the fish late Thursday night." I'm just thinking if someone were going to try to kill all the salmon they would be try to contaminate the water. Did the guys responsible say, "Hey, let's go push the fish into a small part of the pond in hopes they will clog the filters and suffocate!" Doesn't seem like a surefire way to kill them if that was the goal. Do they get pushed to these sections for cleanings or anything? Maybe someone dropped the ball and vandals seemed like a good explanation? Insert fishy pun here.

really dude are you for real?

Depends how fast your bow is, I sold my drenalin and bought a Bowtech Invasion, and that is the rest I was gonna get and the tech setting it up said that the Apache was not quick enough, and would not clear. Besides that, everything I have know about it is that its a solid rest.  I shoot a smackdown by trophy taker, and it had been great!

what rest were you gonna get the schaffer? i am 100% positive that my pse evo is shooting faster than a bowtech invasion cause i have both and both set at 72lbs and no issues what so ever with my rest.

you could do that but when you unhook them you have to tock the pos and neg together for about 1 min or so. but it almost sounds to me that the actuature might be bad.
