If you pull your seater stem you will see a cup or hole beveled to take the tip of the bullet.  Make sure there are no burrs on that, you may get a faint ring where this contacts your bullet if, no big deal, if it is very heavy or dented there you have to much pressure seating.  This is what I use to measure loaded rounds, it measures on the ojive of the bullet instead of tip.  https://www.hornady.com/reloading/precision-measuring/precision-tools-and-gauges/lock-n-load-bullet-comparator

It is the hollowpoint, take measurements off the ojive of the bullet.  Take out five random bullets and measure the length and see what you get.  Measuring from the ojive is more consistant

Classifieds/Buy/Sell / Re: WTB - Sub Troll Probe
« on: September 22, 2017, 07:17:13 AM »
Ended up leaving my custom 13# rigger ball, probe and 200ft of coated cable on bottom in Fairport Saturday night so I'm in need of a Sub Troll probe.     Let me know if anyone has one available.  Thank you.
Thought substoll closed up.  Dad needs a new probe also.

Do you still have to use an Indian "guide" when shooting there?  I haven't been out for a while for 'dogs, but went 12 years straight.  We went further north cause they were playing their games back than with license and guide requirements.  I take along a few rifles, 17 Mach IV, 223 AI, 220 Swift AI, 6 BR, 223, 22 Hornet, 22 BR.  Shoot till one gets hot then grab another, then the big cleaning break and back at it again.  Kept a clicker and had a 650 dog count in 4 days.  Also got my longest at 1130 yards with a friend 6.5X284 Shehane.
