Hunting / Trapping / Deer Gun Season
« on: November 15, 2017, 09:16:38 AM »
Good luck out there guys and gals!  :thmb: Hope everyone has a safe and fun deer season. Don't worry, I haven't shot one in 6 yrs so I saved plenty of deer and helped grow some big ones. Let's see who the lucky ones are. By word of mouth it sounds like it's going to be a very good year.

It's opening day of grouse and grey squirrel season so don't forget to grab your $11 base license. You'll need it for deer season too, with the early season starting this weekend. Good luck!

Trout/Salmon / Steelhead fishing (floats and drifting)
« on: March 21, 2016, 09:40:32 AM »
I'm looking into buying a decent steelhead rod but not sure what size and weight works best. I was eyeballing a 9' rod with Light action rated for 2-8 lb line slow bend. I was wondering if this set-up is going to be too light of an application? Any suggestions or experience with what type of steelhead fishing rod is best would be greatly appreciated. Some of the places I would be fishing would require a rod that isn't too long, but I don't want to compensate fish play if I have to by getting too short of a rod.  Ideas? Thanks
