Hunting / Trapping / Deer Gun Season
« on: November 15, 2017, 09:16:38 AM »
Good luck out there guys and gals!  :thmb: Hope everyone has a safe and fun deer season. Don't worry, I haven't shot one in 6 yrs so I saved plenty of deer and helped grow some big ones. Let's see who the lucky ones are. By word of mouth it sounds like it's going to be a very good year.

Gotta watch for the pure meat and tag hunters. Others states are becoming keen to "pushing the envelope" since back where they live they have to deal with the pumpkin armies. It's all tit for tat. If you don't shoot those deer, someone else gladly will, just make sure  you know how to tag a deer based off legal rack points because that's not a legal 8 by any MI laws.

Looking for an O4 module for my bow if anyone knows where I can find one. Seen some on ebay but none of the O4 size. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

It's opening day of grouse and grey squirrel season so don't forget to grab your $11 base license. You'll need it for deer season too, with the early season starting this weekend. Good luck!

I'd stay away from Moultrie and cameras that take less than 8 AA batteries. I found my Moultrie camera that takes 4 C batteries doesn't work below 50 degrees which is really sad at $150. Not sure of the brand but my buddies $300 camera that took 8 AA batteries worked extremely well in below zero temperatures with outstanding picture quality. The reality is you get what you pay for. With the flood of the game camera market I would stay away from any off brands and go with a company that has been around awhile.

I wouldn't really call boasting with no info a report. People can keep whatever they want legally, unlike natives. I'd say you better get them before the nets do. Either way it wasn't really a report but more of an advertisement. Tight lines and limp nets to all  :usa:

In all honesty I have seen this happen multiple times, and it was due to king hitting but not well enough to get hooked where they bite the bait in a funky way that causes a release to pop with no fish. Sometimes the fish smack it and the lag time with slack allows for just enough elasticity to cater to the fish trying to get off. It's frustrating, that's for sure. I'm surprised that nobody else brought this up because I have seen and heard it from a lot of the diehard salmon guys on here. Keep your chin up, it just happens.

They all look interesting! I'm just surprised the color "Sniper" isn't titty pink.
