Hope you like it. Doesn't seem right paying that money for something that probably costs $5 to make, but the concept is great. Extremely convenient and just a great idea for sure.

I love it. Has not broke yet. Not sure how it would hold up to tools and hard abuse but seems pretty strong. Very convenient storage. I fill it with back up fishing supplies for  both the river and lake but holds my scoped rifle fine and shotgun.

Stupid decision. Call me out on it if you want, hate me for bashing the tournament, but I will stand by my beliefs. Very poor decision making in my mind by the people running it.

When the federal government issues a warning "small craft warning" and tells people it is unsafe to be out in a boat - that is a pretty good clue you shouldn't fish. When they update it to a "Gale warning", that means you really should not fish......A gale warning..a gale warning.....Who are you to think you know more about weather than the NWS in Marquette to say over 100 boats should launch and go fishing. You are someone that is looking to get sued. If anyone would have gotten hurt this past weekend there would have been one hell of a lawsuit.  I fished that tournament once, this year...that will be the only time.

I agree, windy is not the word that should be used. I believe the NWS used the phrase "Gale Warning". Getting out was no issue, getting back was when things got interesting.

I am sure he was a proud boy. Congrats

TTN is best 3 out of 6 tournaments. I love this rule. Serious fisherman who can do them all get an advantage, those that have other priorities (wanted or not) can still do the tournament if they like. Everyone has commitments and if you can fish all 6 - then you are very lucky - congratulations - and you deserve an advantage because you fished all of them and you chose fishing as a top priority. Let the TTN go on for MQT regardless of the date.

Many valid points in video...bottom line..the fish found food elsewhere..Lake MI is a bathtub....very small to them... and fish will go where the food is. They left because there is better food elsewhere. Follow the food. Everything needs to eat.

I am confused. I thought I bought those last year  ;D

Ok...lets not charge the non-tax paying non- residents of this state extra for their fishing license. We could charge the residents of the state more then....i dont think so. If you are a non-resident of a state you deserve to pay like crazy. You are a tourist...buck up and don't put the burden on the ones who live here.

Pic from yesterday, her and sis got 7 in an hour of fishing. Dad was running between mom, big sis, and little sis, taking fish off and baiting hooks.  Little Jiggers Derby in Manistique Feb 25th. Always a great time, hopefully weather will hold for it.

Retail is a dying business and Gander was slow to adopt the online game. Great store and great people there. Always a great selection of items and a fun spot to visit when in MQT.

No. Salmon are exotics. The feds won't plant them, they like lakers. Yes the wolves will keep increasing. blame the feds and special interest bunny loving groups. The state wants to see wolves decline as much as you do. They are competition. Wolves, winter, or hunters will kill deer. If the state could eliminate a competitor for the license sales they would (wolves). and they would make money off that competitor if they could through trapping/license sales which they already did. There is no wolf restoration project going on. It is tree hugger, bunny loving interest groups and a whole bunch of politics telling the state what they can and can not do with their wildlife.

Not much is being discussed at the meeting. Just a land transaction of 44 acres in which the current structure is located on to the state.
