Saturday looks like a go as of right now. As you know it could change. Friday evening will be the sign up at the Elks in Marquette. There is NO meeting so you can stop by anytime between 5-8pm to signup. When you signup and pay we will give you a rule sheet if needed, and your free to go or hang out for a beer. We will be upstairs this year with the entrance directly off Bluff St. This is a on your honor sportsman's fishing tournament. You can leave your preferred harbor at anytime in the morning, but CANNOT put lines in the water till 6am sharp. All lines must be out of the water by 2pm sharp. You don't want to be the guy called out for cheating, so keep it fair. See you Friday. If you need to make other arrangements call/text me 360-3252

The SSFA board voted to postpone the tournament till next Saturday May 13th. This will be the final makeup day, if its canceled then to. Its canceled for the year.  Sign up is also postponed till Next Friday may 12th at the Elks.

Small Craft Advisory in effect till 5am Sunday morning as of right now. So no fishing tomorrow. Im talking with the board on details right now. More to come.

Mike is correct. There needs to be a clear line drawn in the sand. One mans fishable water may be much different than another mans.

South Shore Fishing Association / Re: Net penning in Marquette?
« on: April 30, 2017, 12:52:31 PM »
Chinook planting in Lake Superior has been stopped by the DNR. We invited George Madison to our Spring meeting but he declined the invitation. I also inquired about steelhead or other species net penning but got the it's doesn't benifit  other species answer. So the short answer is no more net penning as of right now. We will be looking  into other options in the future.
