Classifieds/Buy/Sell / Permanent ice shack for sale
« on: December 02, 2014, 05:30:49 PM »
I'm selling one of my permanant shacks. I built two of them and moving two shacks around the bay gets exhausting.

Shack is built on 2"x2" internal framing, pink/blue board insulation inside and steel (Pole building steel) on sides and roof.
Shack is pretty light, tows great and super easy to heat.
There are 2 corner hinged covers ~2'x2'.
2 Fold down corner shelves above holes for Vex, camera, etc..
2 windows and a vent for heater.
Shack is 5' by 8' base and 6'-2" high in the center. Comfortably fits 2 guys, heater, and all fishing stuff with room left over.
Overall width is like 5' 7" wide outside runners and approx 8' 4" long.
Teflon runners on skis which are 2"x6" s.
Price is firm.
$300 located in gladstone/ kipling area

There is an awesome trappers convention going on at the u.p. state fairgrounds starting today.
I swung by there after work and spent 5 hours there. It is awesome and there are a ton of vendors with everything for sale whether for new or seasoned trappers.
Again, it was awesome and if you're looking for something fun to do this weekend,
Here is the link to flyer with list of vendors.

Tip: make a full pass of the event before buying anything, everyone is selling the same things, just need to buy from the cheapest booth.
Second tip, buy the heavy items last. Lol, i bought 3 spools of wire and lugged it around for 5 hours.

Cost is $10 to get in, but that gets you in for all 4 days.
Hourly skinning demonstrations.
Also alot of handmade calls and lure.
Some big names in the trapping industry are there also.

Gun Talk / Glock turncoat
« on: May 20, 2014, 07:02:14 PM »
I went to j's sporting goods in powers to buy an xdm.
When i got there, she had alot more guns than i remembered her having years ago.
Anyways, i start checking out all the guns and unfortunately the best feeling in my hand was the glock 19 gen 4.
I have always hated glocks, i didn't like the feel and grip angle of the gun, and mostly i always thought they were just plain fugly.
Anyways, this glock said made in smyrna georgia and pointed great in my hand.
As much as i hated it, i bought it.
Took it home and cleaned it. Then i shot the hell out of that gun, it's very accurate, perfect size for my hands, they must have changed the grip angle on the gen 4's, and it also carries easily.
As much as i hate to say it, i love this gun. It carries easily with an galco iwb, i also bought an aliengear iwb holster, it's amazing how cheap the holster was and the quality of products it is made from, the aliengear holster was a steal.
Anyways, i'm on the glock wagon.
Viva la glock :)

Gun Talk / Laserlyte laser training system
« on: January 06, 2014, 10:14:04 PM »
Has anyone ever used the laserlyte laser system for dryfire practice?
You buy the caliber laser you want (9mm, .45,etc..) and this display.
Then whenever you dry fire at this target , it registers. You can see where you've hit and reset by aiming for the appropriate buttons on the display.
The videos look pretty neat.
Been reading reviews online and watching videos, i was just wondering if anyone has actually used one.
