Who uses them, how do you like them, and will they stay on when I hook a 20lb. "foreign object" from Asia?
They look good and I like the concept, figured a few opinions would be nice before I ordered. Thanks

Ice Fishing / Independance
« on: January 11, 2010, 06:34:46 AM »
Spent pre-dawn til post-dark on the ice Sat. with Osprey, Take Three, and Scale Chaser. Food was good, Beer was better, fishing was slow. We iced 2 Suckers, 2 Pike, 2 walleye (sub-legals) and a perch. Also lost a nice fish on a tip-up at dark. Slow reports and few fishermen. Still a nice day on the water and a good time.

Hunting / Trapping / How smart they are!

Daylight til' dark in sub-zero temps for the last five days of muzzle. I did pass a mediocre eight, but no sign of the big boy during shooting hours. The day following the end of season he shows up at 5:15 (Time is off as I did not reset the clock during fall back) Go figure. Lots of doom and gloom surrounding the 09' season, but I saw plenty of deer in early bow season, very few in gun....pressure and weather played a role and one of the best muzzle seasons in a long time. Timing of snow and migration helped. No wolf, cougar, badger, or yeti sightings. Did see plenty of yotes and had more bear problems than ever. Probably due to not drawing a tag this year. All hunting done in heavy cover state land , no farm fields, food plots, etc......I guess its time to start daydreaming about fishing again.
