I was told the same as Kyle said above. I am sure Bromley will keep us all up to date when he has a chance. I know those guys are praying for the warm up also!

Preferably Husqvarna or Stihl.
Thanks

Thanks guys! I've been fortunate enough to tag a couple myself, but none were as sweet as this one. A day that I'll never forget for sure.
Chum, We had a backstrap on the grill for all the guys at camp the following night. Best Venny I ever cooked!

After being envious of other father's pics on here, I've been waiting two years to make this post. And have my opinions on the other post about this. Some great points made, and other's I don't agree with.
With the exception of the small percent of idiots who will take advantage, it is nothing but good. The opportunity to get kids out there and hooked on the outdoors, with all the other influences this day in age, is a good thing. My son started hunting last year at the age of 10. A 7mm-08 is plenty gun for Whitetail and limited recoil for that age. We got busted on a nice 8pt last year in youth season, but he got a taste of "Buck Fever" and that helped build the excitement.
He shoots his bow regularly with me, and at 11 now, poundage in the mid 40's and consistent groups gave me the confidence to get him in a tree. I explained the tagging options to him, and let him decide. He opted for the "Combo" on his own, knowing the ethics we preach at camp. He had to watch a nice four point within 15 yds two weekends in a row and let him walk. I think he has learned more life lessons in the bush this month alone, than he'll get this year in school.
Fast Forward..Friday night we had a 6pt in front of us, with an 8pt reluctantly in tow in the stiff SSE wind. He had to decide on a chip shot at the 6pt, or wait out the 8. Fortunately the 8 got to within 20yds before making the turn to get outta dodge. He paused for a few seconds to look back at the 6pt, this proved to be his demise. Before I could tell the boy to make his move, he was at full draw. I tried to control MY breathing, crossed my fingers, and let out a sigh of relief as he put a Rage in the Cage!
I made him wait for what he say's were the "longest two hours of his life". A short 60yds later, he was piled up.
Needless to say, he is hooked and I know where he wants to spend his weekends now.

I was wondering myself how many members here would get one or attempt to.  Anyone else?  I also wonder how many pavement pounders bought up tags.  Probably no way for us to tell but I'm sure the state could estimate based on where they were bought?

If they had any in the counties I hunt, I'd buy one in a second! Spent a hundred bucks on a lot worse.........
Plus it'd be a good excuse to stay in the woods the week between Rifle and Muzzle!
