South Shore Fishing Association / 2015 SSFA Spring Shootout Results
« on: May 10, 2015, 07:23:39 PM »
Just want to thank everyone who came to this year's derby to battle the wind, waves, and cold with us.  We had 31 teams with 96 people enter the tournament.  I think for many this is their shake down cruise and certainly the first tournament of the season.  I know there were several teams who decided to keep their feet on dry land, hopefully we will see you in the fall at our main event the Fall Classic Tournament.  There were some very nice catches of king salmon, including several adipose fin clipped fish, a sign of good things to come this season I hope.  Laker fishing was not quite as expected but I think many of the teams focused on waters closer to shore and didn't get out to their usual lake trout spots.  There were also some browns and very nice steelhead brought in.  Overall, I think it was a fair day of fishing for most but the weather certainly had an effect on everyone, that's fishing on the big lake I guess.  Good luck to those entering the upcoming tournaments around the UP.  OK, on to the info you really came here to read about, the winners!

Congrats to winners:

Lake Superior / 2015 SSFA Fall Tournament Committee Invitation
« on: January 12, 2015, 10:15:45 AM »
I would like to invite all SSFA members that are interested in being a part of the 2015 Fall Tournament Committee to come to our first (informal) meeting of the year on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 6:30 pm.  We know that we have a few committee members returning from last year and we are always looking for more.  Last year's committee consisted of men and women and included brand new members as well as some old members.   There is a lot of rewarding work that goes into putting the tournament on and we welcome any SSFA member that wants to get involved and participate in making this annual event a success.  Come out and get involved in YOUR organization.  The meeting will be held at the Elk's Lodge located at 127 N. Front Street, Marquette, MI.  The Elks is located at the intersection of Bluff and Front.  Parking is available in the City parking deck or on Bluff and Front Streets.  If you have any questions send me a PM or email or call me at 360-4027.

Hope to see you there,

Mylan

Off Topic / Spray in bedliner
« on: November 06, 2014, 12:33:58 AM »
Looking to get a spray in bed liner done for my truck. Where's the best place around Mqt/Neg/Ish? What kind/brand of spray in bed liner do you like best and why? I've read that some guys think Rhino is too soft and pulls off, some guys think Line-x is better. Any opinions?

Thanks.
