Lake Superior / 2015 Veteran's Fishing Day
« on: June 24, 2015, 01:37:16 PM »
We are beginning to form this year’s Veteran’s Fishing Day committee to begin planning this year’s event.  This year’s event will be held on September 13th.  Mike Paluda has agreed to be the chairman of this year’s committee.  We would like to have our first meeting to get things started on Tuesday, July 7th at 6:30 pm at the Elks of Marquette.  I have already been getting inquiries from vets and captains who want to participate in this year’s event, so I think this year is going to be great.  If you are interested in being a part of this year’s committee, please attend the meeting on July 7th.  If you cannot make that date, we plan to have a second meeting shortly thereafter, date TBD, to get the committee off and running.  Hope to see you there.

Boat and Tackle Setups / Re: TROLL MASTER HELP!
« on: June 01, 2015, 10:25:50 PM »
Blake, I just re-installed my Pro2 tonight after experiencing some issues with it. The control unit powered up and readout increased with the turn of the dial but the servo would not move. I thought it was the servo so I ordered a new servo.  The new servo didn't fix the problem. It turns out that one of the three very small pins in the connector to the servo motor broke.  I sent the controller and wiring in and they replaced the connector for me. If the controller turns on and appears to operate, try inspecting the connector to see if one of the very tiny pins broke or if the connector is corroded. The repair including shipping time took about two weeks door to door. Call marine tech for a return merchandise authorization number if you do send it in. I also used some dielectric grease this time to help prevent corrosion in the future. You're welcome to try my old servo if you have the patience to try to get the broken pin out, shouldn't be too difficult as I can see the end of the tiny pin in the connector but it might take a needle or similar to fish it out.

That was my first time fishing the tournament and just wanted to thank everyone involved who obviously put in a lot of hard work to make it all happen.  Great tournament and great people.  Thank you!  :thmb: :thmb:
