Remington made the 7600 pump action rifle in the .35 Whelan a few years back. It's a .30/06 case necked up to .35 caliber. That cartridge is enough for ANY animal on the North American continent. The rifles are good natural pointers with fast follow up shot potential. Take a look at Gun Broker, they should have a few.

I'm looking to move to the Iron Mountain area (i.e. Iron Mountain, Florence, Norway, Pembine, Kingsford, Sagola, etc).

I'd like to find a good, experienced realtor who's been at it in the area for 15, 20 year++).  I've been doing some road scouting and looking at listings to familiarize myself with the area as I'm not from the UP or northern Wisconsin.

I want an agent who knows the pros and cons of different types of residential properties and isn't afraid to challenge their clients if they're not fully thinking things through .
I don't want some overly zealous agent just wanting to make a sale or some inexperienced agent who can't appreciate long term considerations with various properties, economic cycles, etc...

Ideally I'd like to spend under $250k (<$300 month taxes) and have some land I could at least shoot on or hunt on but everything in life is a comprimise, assessing priorities, etc... I'd love to find some house that backs up to federal/state/county hunting areas.

Thanks

I can't see much of the sky from my upper deck and was already thinking up some smart heiny remark about why I didn't see any screaming chunks of alien ships flying by tonite....when in less than 45 seconds I did!! My first meteor shower stone thingy. Woo hoo!! :D I never did any homework on this event and didn't know how slow, bright or anything about em but this baby was about as fast as an incoming 7.62 tracer going by 300yds out, 50 times brighter than any star and looked like it was less than 1K feet high, which I highly doubt. Pretty cool in any event and our TV6 guesser just said, @ 11:05  EST, seeing around 10-12 rocks an hour will be normal for here. I watched for another 10 min and 3 skeeters and saw no more.
