Munising
« on: July 14, 2017, 08:23:05 AM »

Don't know squat about Lk. Superior, but with the islands close in and Pictured Rocks shoreline this is a must do for me.
Will be leaving Sunday July 16, 2017 for my first ever Lk. S fish.  Caught in all the other Great Lakes, so this is number 5 on my list.

Will be dropping down to fish Manistique on Tuesday-ish.

Not looking to rape and pillage the fish population, but catch a few from Lk. Superior.

Any help will be much appreciated. :thmb:

Give the Big Reef a shot,Grand Marais area.
Lots of good fishing around Grand Island as well.

Accomplished my mission, caught a Pink and a small Laker, to complete my 5 great lakes quest ...barely.
Neither fish was large, but was there to catch a salmon and a trout, which completed me catching
in all 5 Great Lakes over 49 years since I caught my 1st coho on 10/1/1968.

Learned this is a hot and cold port, when the coho are there, limits of 3 to 6 pound fish can happen.
Did not pound the bottom for LTs much, spent our time on the water trolling for suspended fish.

Beautiful protected port, loved the area, this place has a lot of potential for those who have the time
to get dialed in.
