1800 Mi. South
« on: October 03, 2017, 08:13:41 PM »

Good day out in the Gulf of Mexico. Unusual catch was a nice Blackfin Tuna, usually found in water deeper than the 65' we were in. Hurricanes and storms have the water mixed up. Nice mix of Spanish, King mackerel, asst. snappers, barracuda (great eating by the way), some bonitas for shark bait. Miss chasing eyes off the Ford R. at night this time of year. Have a Good One, Frank

Good to see you are out fishing, since that means you came through the storm intact!  How are David and his family? Dave and Jean showed me pics of the storm damage around their winter place-pretty bleak.

Very fortunate here, Dire. Some minor wind damage and flooding in our community, but nothing for us. we are about 90-95 mi. north of the bad damage in Naples, Marco Island area which took the worst mainland damage. Keys will be a long recovery. Have been doing well on seatrout and sharks inland, will start chasing snook and redfish soon. We stayed with David and family during storm, they did well also. Pretty vulnerable feeling.
