Rabbits (snowshoe hare)
« on: December 17, 2017, 09:58:07 AM »

The rabbit population has been in the toilet for several years in the Marquette/Dickinson County area. Much more than a cycle thing. How did the sign look in the areas you hunt, late this deer season?

I hunt north delta county, no bunnies there for that last 8 or 10 years. Way too many coyotes nowadays.

I saw 2 tracks in a day of road hunting last year after the black friday snow storm in Iron Cnty. There hasn't been rabbits there for 25 yrs.. Crying shame cause thats what I went after when the birds were done and deer season over.

I've never hunted coyotes a minute in my life. Just looking for a general part of a UP county with a fair number of rabbits for the beagles to chase.
