USCG Auxiliary Boat Inspection Day
« on: April 26, 2012, 08:25:42 PM »

As announced at the SSFA Spring Meeting, Steve Turausky and another person from the USCG Auxiliary will be conducting free boat inspections on Saturday May 5th from 9 am to 12 pm (noon) for SSFA members.  The inspections will take place in the Lower Harbor parking lot, so bring your boat down before the start of the boating season and get it checked over.

This is a voluntary inspection service being offered by USCG Auxiliary personnel.  There will be no tickets for violations or deficiencies issued during the inspection.  My understanding is that if your boat does pass inspection, they are able to provide you with an inspection sticker and/or documentation indicating that your boat has passed inspection for the 2012 boating season.  If you have any questions post them here or send me a PM.

Also, we’ll have the new SSFA sweatshirts and t-shirts available for sale if you didn’t get one at the spring meeting.  Hope to see you there!

Kudos to the SSFA and the Coast Guard Auxiliary for having the boat inspection today. Sure was nice of both the guys doing the inspections and Mylan and Josh for giving up their mornings on the pond to help others out. Thanks fellas!!

USCG Auxiliary boat inspection day was a success.  Steve Turausky and Jim Dunn (USCG Auxiliary) completed at least a dozen or more boat inspections on Saturday.  On behalf of SSFA, I want to thank them both for taking time out of thier day to help others.
