I was just poking fun at the typo.... (3.12 oz.) I assume it was supposed to be (3lbs. 12oz.)

That is one of the nicest displays of perch mounts I have ever seen. Very nice background also.

John is quite the character for sure.  Yes, have a pic of his bluegills also and Crappie I think.  I work on the forklifts where he works is how I met him.

@twosrwild, saw it in Hessel Bay. came into 5oz green/white do-jigger and a pink teardrop with a live shiner. snapped at minnow then turned and left. had a red/white pike decoy down and it stared at it for 10-15 seconds or so.

X2. Almost makes you want to drop in a minnow to see if you could catch them again!

[/quote] shock()Would have been neat to put that girl on the ice and see if it might break the mystical 3# mark. Thanks for the lead and tips. A friend an I fished in the Hog-A-Thon on Geogebic 3/09/13 a DNR warden zipped up on me and sat and shot the breeze for a while he said (they netted more than a few 3#ers)really inspired me:dance2:he seemed to be a pretty strait-up guy. We fished 27' and 2' to 4' off the bottom w/wigglers on small jigs got 5 walleye all short and 5 perch one was 1#13.9Oz's did not place.

Just checking to see if anyone has had a run in with one of these 3# buggers or even heard of one being caught. I've heard of a couple of 2#15oz ones and I was told that 3#Er's are common in the Ouse river in England but that's to far away to count. Wish I knew how to grab pictures off of that Ouse river perch web site, stupid big  shock() I think they are the same as our perch but not sure.
