Heading up to camp at Autrain Lake tommorrow. Have never fished this lake before, any suggestions for the south end of the lake. Any reports lately?

Was slow when I left a couple of days ago. Wife calls it the Dead Sea when that happens. I'll be back in a day or 2 as I have a couple of #s of leeches that need new water and a couple of other chores. The launch road was finally repaved BUT, you couldn't circle in front of the ramp to back the boat in with a crew cab truck. The county road crew said they were going to put road  gravel in for shoulders on the turn-around but 3 days later it hadn't been done. I had to pull into the beach parking and back the trailer up 50 yds or so and hope no one else cuts in on ya.The time before some moron parked their car on the turn-around so the wife wrote a note and put it on their wind shield. Good thing I wasn't the note author.  evil

Came home to hit the ER today. Fishing was as good as my health. One bullhead last night and acute bronchitis today. Magic pills and codeine cough med. Jumbo leeches untouched drifting shallow or anchored deep. I think I gonna grow turkey drumsticks at camp instead. :-)  Mama has 13 chicks the size of Cornish game hens, so far.
