2013 Spring Shootout Results
« on: May 19, 2013, 12:10:21 PM »

SSFA’s 2013 Spring Shootout is in the books.  I think I speak for most when I say that the fishing was excellent yesterday with lots of silver caught in addition to good catches of trout.  There were 14 teams and 43 people that fished the tournament, a decrease from last year but not bad for a make up day.  There were a total of 149.88 pounds of trout and 65.88 pounds of salmon weighed in.  To put that into perspective, last year there were 33 teams that caught a total of 405 pounds of trout and 65 pounds of salmon.

TROUT CLASS

-Rank-   -Team Name-   -Captain-   -Payout-
1st   Reel Screamers   Dave Lehtomaki   $290
2nd   Hot Pursuit   Blake and Cole Reiboldt   $145
3rd   Highline   Dan Audette   $50

SALMON CLASS

-Rank-   -Team Name-   -Captain-   -Payout-
1st   Highline   Dan Audette   $290
2nd   Marshall’s Toy   Mike Myers   $145
3rd   Reel Screamers   Dave Lehtomaki   $50

Biggest Fish (9.44 lb Laker) - Reel Screamers - $100
Mystery Fish (1.26 lbs) – Split between Team Fin & Tonic and Team Relaxation - $100

On behalf of the SSFA Board, I would like to thank everyone for making the 2013 Spring Shootout a safe and successful tournament.

Thanks to the southshore association for putting on this spring shoot out.  What a fantastic day on the old gitch!  I don't remember seeing that much silver in a long time.  There was certainly as much salmon that was not weighed as there was weighed!  Great job done by all,  see ya on the lake  :thmb:

Nice work everyone and thank you to the S.S.F.A. for having a great Spring Shoot Out!
There was a bunch of nice looking coolers full of fish at the weigh in.

I added a summary spreadsheet for the salmon and trout catches that were weighed in for each team's heaviest three salmon and heaviest three trout. You can find it in the first post under this topic.

Wow! Besides King slayer Jr and crew it looks like the coho shootout. Munising was great for cohos friday and most of them seamed to  move out sometime that evening. Obviously they headed west. Ever have that many cohos entered before?

So did you collect that Hundo ? reel screams took biggest fish. plus first and third, looks like an error?
money was paid for three categories... not four as posted in rules. reel screamers did you collect $440 in winnings?
