WTB: Chainsaw
« on: April 09, 2014, 08:47:34 PM »

About to pull the trigger on a new saw, unless someone is looking to get rid of a decent one.
Preferably Husqvarna or Stihl.
Thanks

Depends what you are using it for, are you looking for cheaper couple hundred, small saw or a professional .  Big difference in price and performance.   Cheaper husky s  are made in U.S.,'Pro models in Sweden.  Probably like a Ford /Chevy kind of thing.  Jonsred. Is a sister company of Husky.  My dad was sawyer for 40 + yes , used them all and said Husky s were best.  Absolutely hated "Sucks Dolmar", but  Im sure newer ones are much better than old. I ran the same 371 for 15 yrs. Cutting firewood without a hitch, and it was one of my dad old saws.

I have a Stihl 460, 2 years old but used quite a bit for $500. It was $1000 new.
I also have a Stihl 362 used about a year for $400. $700 new.
Both are pro saws. Light and powerful. Both 20" bars.
I have 4 saws so I could part with one of them.

Interested in sellin' that 61? I would be interested if you are. The 372 is one of the best all around saws out there. You will be happy with it.  Steve

I will Never get rid of the one I have now, Pops passed away filing it on the back of his tailgait, RIP Big Gene.
