Chiblow Ont. Next week
« on: August 01, 2015, 01:57:25 PM »

Leaving for Iron Bridge, Ont. Next friday morning for a week of fishing the Little and big Chiblow Lakes. Girlfriends family had a cabin on the lake. Bass and lakers are the main plan but just read that there's walleyes and whites in the lake as well so might give them a try. Anybody fished I before and willing to offer a couple ideas? Plan to run my normal peanut and dodger setup off the riggers fr the lake trout. Tubes jigged off the rock piles and then pulling boards with rapalas in the evening for the bass. Walleyes I suppose I'll bottom bounce so harnesses on the edges for a few to see if anything hits.

The wife and I were on Rainy Lake Ontario last week and the only method for walleye that worked was 3/16oz and 3/8oz jigs tipped with minnows. Litterally had to keep them on bottom, lift slightly and wait to feel that walleye "tick". If the jig was 4" off bottom they wouldn't touch it. Fished 25 to 14 FOW depending on sun light. Water temps were in the low to mid 70's.
