pellet gun law?
« on: January 04, 2016, 09:43:06 PM »

Does anyone know if the law passed in MI where we don't need an FFL to receive a rifled barrel pellet gun anymore? Last I could find it passed the senate in 2015.

Al,

I checked with Bass Pro's, Cabelas, and GMTN websites to see if they would ship air rifles to Michigan. They all would. Looks like there is a local exception in Richmond, Mi. If you have any more specific questions, I could forward them to a national regulatory compliance officer for a definitive answer. Happy New Year!

Thanks guys.  :thmb: I also emailed the state police this morning and they wrote back confirming air guns are no longer classified as firearms.
Now if they would legalize silencers for hunting and the feds speed up the silencer paperwork……..
