Detour 05/23/16
« on: May 26, 2016, 06:24:10 PM »

Good numbers of Atlantic's starting to show up at detour now. Some decent catches being reported with a mixed bag of Atlantic's , lake trout & a few kings. Surface temp was 50.5 inside and outside the light house this past Monday. Fished 3 hrs with my wife and landed a 10lb Atlantic and a 7lb laker. Other boats had better catches with higher numbers of Atlantic's.

we had about the same sat and sunday, by no means did we tear them up. ended up boat 5 silver fish for the weekend ranging from 5 to 10 pounds, one of those being a 6 pound coho the others where atlantics, we prolly lost close to a doz fish on the boards also most if not all being silver fish by the way they hit, in the 2 days we also boated 1- 8 pound laker  and lost a smaller one at the boat, what does concern me is what was in the bellies of the silver fish, nothing but stickle backs, and the laker we cleaned had gobbies, not one smelt in any of them,  all and all there are silver fish to be caught in detour, something we didn't see much of last spring..
