I went to MAnistique this morning.   First time on lake michigan for me this year, weather , kids just couldn't get away.  From your responses one would think no one was fishing there. Well the reality was it was as busy as I have seen it. I pulled in a little before 5 am , boats about 10 deep to get in and parking spots were mostly full.    Stopped at 60 feet of water maybe a mile or two out of the big group that was at the  red can.  First fish on in about 10 min,   bait all over the  screen ( I thought some settings were wrong on the new humminbird)  2nd fish maybe 5 or 10 min later..   third fish on a five color broke off   .  I was thinking it was going to be a good day, ....maybe half an hour later lost a rainbow before we had a chance to grab the rod, and that was it.  Occasional bait  and fish here or there , all the fish were kings and came on spoons maybe 40 feet down . Once the sun was up that was about it for my bite. I think other people continued to fish for rainbows during  the day , quite a few at the cleaning table.   Thats about all the information i have . Get there early that seems to be the key. But who knows as nobody shares  reports anymore....

well someone has told the fishing was good because there were more boats out sunday morning that I've seen other than the derby the bite did slow down from earlier this week but you have to fish for them hasn't been been the same lures working everytime I went out but some people have done really good some haven't so I shared some of the colors I caught fish on and people tried and couldn't catch em on that but were doing good on different colors it's always a crapshoot
