« on: August 15, 2016, 03:59:18 PM »

Chenier's Reef, (formally Wheat's Place,) in Escanaba is happy to host the 17th annual Wheat's Walleye Tournament on Saturday, August 20th.

Entry fee is $80 per team, with 80% payback. $10 from each entry will go to the local Youth Assistance Program, (YAP.)

Teams can enter one of two categories - two walleyes over 23 inches, or five walleyes under 23 inches.

Entry forms are available at Chenier's Reef and Bay View Bait and Tackle. Entry forms must be in by Thursday, August 18th, by 10pm. Late entries will be accepted until Friday, August 19th, by 11pm,  but will incur a $20 late fee.

This is easily the areas best attended and "most looked forward to," local walleye tournament of the summer. Great fish fry to follow the weigh-in, and TONS of door prizes.

Any questions, call Chenier's Reef at (906) 553-7474

Despite the all day rain, the walleye fishing was pretty good for the teams fishing the Wheat's Tournament.
